Maytown is an unincorporated community in Thurston County, Washington. An unincorporated community is not goverened by its own municipal corporation, but rather is part of a larger township or county. The community of Maytown was founded as a lumber town in 1911. Maytown was named after the uncorporated community Maytown, Kentucky.
